Description
The TAM (Technical Account Management) Lead Trainer
position for Amazon.com in Grand Forks will be responsible for training delivery and coordination for all new hire, refresher,
and launch trainings for our seller support division. Training coordination will include communicating with appropriate business owners, Training
Manager, other TAM trainers, and GF site managers, leads, Training Mentors & Associates to ensure that all trainings are conducted on-time
and with sufficient resources and facilities.
This position will also
include conducting trainings for new hires, new skills (cross-training) and feature launches, as necessary. The person
hired for this Lead Trainer role must be able to lead a team of trainers, help to develop them as trainers and support them throughout a new
training.
In addition, the Lead Trainer will help develop elearning
training materials for online and electronic (e.g., e-mail) communication and training. This role will also include using surveys,
quizzes, quality metrics and other available tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training and assess new Associate learning and skill
development. In addition, the Lead Trainer will work on special projects related to Grand Forks and other Global TAM training needs and
development.
Overall, the Trainer Lead will be responsible for driving high
quality training provided to Grand Forks TAM staff and global sites, and play a significant role in the development of a successful, effective
global technical support team.
Summary of
Responsibilities
- Expertise in
developing, planning, implementing and assessing training.
- Demonstrated experience developing
elearning courseware, job aids, online tutorials and/or other training materials.
- Excellent communication
skills for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development, including superior skill in explaining technical topics to novices and
collaborating with subject matter experts and managers.
- Excellent coordination and organization
skills.
- Excellent written English skills.
- Ability to use multiple
learning methods and link appropriate methods with subject matter.
- Excellent one-to-many and one-to-one
communication skills in both classroom and tutorial settings.
- Knowledge of adult learning, training
practices and certification programs especially in technical support contexts.
- Experience supervising
trainers
Qualifications
-
At least 3-5 years experience in a training role, preferably technical training.
- Experience
with applications such as Captive, Frame Maker, Robo Help, Camtasia, Adobe Presenter/Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash

Bachelor’s degree or significant college course work, preferably in a communication, education or related field.
- CPLP certification a plus.
